The island's overall recycling rate sits below the U.S. average, and formal electronics collection is mostly limited to seasonal municipal drop-off centers. Electronics that are not collected end up in landfills, along with the materials inside them.
We receive electronics from businesses, institutions and collection partners across the island.
Devices are broken down mechanically at our Bayamón facility.
Material is sorted into separate streams for further processing.
Materials are recovered using a clean process with no cyanide and no mercury.
Process water is treated and reused on site.
Every device we process is one that does not get buried.
A permanent facility in Bayamón adds an option beyond seasonal municipal collection events.
No cyanide, no mercury, and process water that is treated and reused.

Puerto Rico Law 18-2012 requires businesses with 11 or more employees to maintain an electronics recycling or reuse program and report to the Solid Waste Authority each year. AM Bardyn can be part of your program.
